Most doctors and healthcare workers have heard about The Polanski case. It was a narrative that spread around the globe for years. Very few people had actually read the original manuscript. Doctor Polanski was a Polish surgeon who worked in a little hospital in Sweden. One day on call, a terrible accident happens. The emergency department tries to call Polanski. An eight year old child dies. Will they let Polanski get away with this? This story was originally described by Lars Nilsson, one of the investigators in the Polanski case. Nilsson later said, he felt the urge to publish this short manuscript in order to do something for Polanski who had been wronged beyond belief.
